Pros and cons of 868-HACK app for iPhone and iPad

868-HACK app good for

The price is bad and level 5 is impossible. Awesoem game tho.
The first hour or so of play is almost the equivalent of being addicted to hardcore drugs, but once you unlock every permission, the game becomes virtually pointless to play and turns very boring very fast...oh well
At first I was skeptical about the strange retro design and the price but it actually is my favorite game now. The game mechanics are genius and the strategy is really deep and fun
Well-crafted, deep, easy to learn, hard to master. Ive been having fun with this jam game turned fleshed out roguelike for hours on end. Its looks may not convey it at first glance, but its well worth its price. Grab it!
Clever Design, Endless Replayability, One of the very best in the Appstore!
Found a bug. I Was trapped On a lost game after used all my credits with .step and finished inside a box. I removed and reinstalled the App To get a new game.

Some bad moments

If you get a score buff and can survive the five mobs that spawn then the game becomes trivial. Not as much depth as the various review sites claim. Not roguelike at all. Barely roguelite.
Im using 6.1.4 Os on iphone 5, Game crashes on startup Please look into the matter
For $5.99 I expected a lot more. The graphics are simple. The gameplay both repetitive and boring. Maybe Im missing something regarding gameplay. This is my most regrettable purchase on the Istore.
Stupid silly gameplay - ZX spectrum games were bigger and interested.
This game is awesome. Each stages overall objectives seem straightforward: gather power-spheres; select and hack microchips; wipe out the viruses; and finally, advance to the next stage. However, in practice the mechanics are deep, the strategy multi-layered. For instance: - Each virus exhibits different behaviors and characteristics: some are durable and can absorb damage, while others are flimsy and weak, but fast enough to corner and catch the careless player. - Different resources allow the player to run different defensive or offensive weapons/programs. Some programs transform one resource to another, which might give access to a needed program. - The fact the resources are scattered randomly throughout each stage means that some microchips might not have a high point value, but might have value by being adjacent to a needed resource. This is the type of experimental game that not only deserves a place high on the payed charts, but fulfills the promise of what iPhone gaming should be. Kudos to the developer.
I had read numerous reviews about this game and was unsure what I was getting into spending nearly $7. All I can say is, Im glad I took the plunge and discovered the true genius behind this game. On the surface, it may seem simple, but as you figure out the rules of the game, learn tricks, and how to adapt to the randomly generated levels, you discover an immersive experience that I can only describe as the most in-depth, fun, challenging, rewarding, puzzling strategy game I have ever laid eyes on. The graphics are simple and I LOVE them. Its all about the gameplay. This game will make you THINK whether youre a veteran or novice, you will always be challenged. The beauty of this game is in its open-ended system of strategy. Instead of the game explicitly telling you how to "solve" puzzles, the tutorial shows you how to move, attack enemies, and use programs. Its up to YOU to learn/decide HOW to play. This game is absolutely fantastic; I cant say enough good things about it. Be warned: it is TOUGH and will make you think a lot. If youd rather be immersed in a fantasy realm that rewards you for spending 6 hours a day playing while involving little to no skill, this game is NOT for you. If the idea of a game that truly requires intellect and strategy while letting you play as often or infrequently/ whenever you want sounds appealing, THIS IS THE LAST GAME YOU WILL EVER NEED TO SPEND MONEY ON!!!!! Get it and stop wasting your time on all those other stupid mind-numbing games!!!!!!! I almost never write reviews but I was absolutely impressed by this game so much that I had to write one. This game is so phenomenal and original that it has shown me how truly bland most, if not all, the other games on the App Store are. Truly worth every dime and minute I have put into it. Thank you, developer. You have created a game that I can play by myself that makes me think as much, if not more than chess.
